Welcome to Hartland Baptist Church
Nurturing a faith that works in real life.
First time visiting? You may be wondering…
Do I need to wear a mask? Masks are optional. Please feel free to wear one if you would feel more comfortable.
What time to come to church: Our Worship Service begins at 11:00 am. The coffee, tea, and a sweet snack are ready by 10:30. We also have two small groups that meet each Sunday at 9:45 am, one in the lounge and one in the library.
What to do when you arrive: When you enter the front entrance of the church, you will be in the foyer/lobby. You may want to have some coffee and join someone for a bit of conversation. If you prefer to go directly into the service, ushers are at the doors to the main church (sometimes called the sanctuary). The ushers will help you choose a seat and give you a bulletin to look at.
What to wear: Just be yourself. Some people in our church are casual and prefer to wear jeans while others like to dress up. There is no need to worry about fitting into a dress code.
Your kids: Caring volunteers provide nursery care and playtime for infants and toddlers. Children age 3 to Grade 5 stay in church for the music/worship time and then go to Children’s Church. Here they will take part in fun learning activities designed for their age group.
How long church lasts: Our services usually last about one hour.
Offering: There will be a time in our service when an offering plate is passed around. This is the time when members and regular attendees support the mission and on-going ministry of the church. You are our guest and as such, we want you to feel no obligation to participate.
Why not join us next Sunday? We would love to meet you!
Leadership & Staff
Rev. Daniel Austin, Lead Pastor
Dan is our “new” pastor, having started here in Hartland in December 2017. Dan was born and raised in Montreal Quebec. He studied for his undergraduate degrees at Briercrest in Caronport, Saskatchewan and completed his M Div at Acadia Divinity College. He pastored churches in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia before making his way to New Brunswick and eventually to Hartland.
Jesus’ command is for us to “go and make disciples.” Dan’s goal for our church is that we truly be transformed to a disciple making church.
Dan and the love of his life, his wife, Fiona have two grown children, Stephen and Danielle. In addition to spending time with Fiona, Dan enjoys reading and playing music. Currently he is taking guitar lessons and says that his teacher has a wonderful way of humbling him each week! Dan says he plays for two reasons – for the enjoyment of music and because he wants to play as part of the worship team in church to bring glory to God. He also says he wishes he could play a whole bunch of instruments! We are looking forward to that.
If you’re looking for a church in Hartland, Dan extends a warm welcome to you. Come join us for some fellowship and care.
